Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration Supervisor

About the role

The AC & Refrigeration Supervisor ensures efficient operation and maintenance of the hotel's physical plant, utility services, and equipment for both the hotel and staff housing complex.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee installation, maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, air‑conditioning, chilled water distribution and environmental control systems.
• Develop and manage a preventive maintenance programme and control the quality of repair work.
• Design small‑scale air‑conditioning systems and modifications to existing systems, reviewing plans and specifications.
• Coordinate with engineering management on service disruptions, daily briefings and work assignments.
• Supervise contractors and internal team members to ensure compliance with health‑and‑safety policies and safe work practices.
• Review work orders, maintain budgets, records and reports, and conduct quality checks on completed work.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead and supervise a technical team in a hospitality environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive, energetic attitude.
• Thorough knowledge of heating, ventilation and refrigeration theory and practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interaction with staff, vendors and engineering management.
