Air‑Conditioning & Refrigeration Supervisor

About the role

The Air‑Conditioning & Refrigeration Supervisor will lead the engineering team responsible for the operation, maintenance and improvement of all HVAC and refrigeration systems at Raffles Seychelles. This position ensures reliable climate control for guest rooms, public areas and staff housing while upholding safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation, preventive maintenance, repair and overhaul of air‑conditioning, chilled‑water and environmental control systems.
• Develop and manage a preventive maintenance programme for all HVAC equipment.
• Design small‑scale air‑conditioning solutions and modify existing systems as required.
• Review plans and specifications for contracted work and ensure compliance with health‑and‑safety policies.
• Coordinate daily engineering briefings, assign work orders and monitor progress.
• Communicate with engineering management on improvements, efficiency gains and service disruptions.
• Maintain budgets, records and reports related to HVAC operations.

Required profile

• Proven supervisory experience in HVAC or refrigeration environments.
• Ability to resolve complex technical problems using discretionary judgement.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with engineering management and contractors.
