Chef de Partie – Luxury Resort Kitchen

About the role

Join the culinary team at Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island as a Chef de Partie, leading a dedicated section of a world‑class kitchen. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality dishes while upholding the resort’s renowned standards of excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present high‑quality dishes within your assigned section.
• Assist in menu development and daily specials, contributing creative ideas.
• Maintain strict hygiene and food‑safety standards in line with HACCP.
• Control portions and waste to protect profit margins.
• Train, mentor and supervise Commis Chefs and junior kitchen staff.
• Ensure mise‑en‑place is ready and consistently maintained.
• Collaborate closely with the Sous Chef to guarantee consistency across all outlets.
• Support overall kitchen cleanliness and organization.

Required profile

• Formal culinary training with relevant certifications.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role within a luxury or high‑end hospitality environment.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Fluent English; French or Creole is a plus.

Required skills

• HACCP and food‑safety compliance.
• Knowledge of international cuisine.
• Experience with Mediterranean and island‑style cooking.
• Portion control and waste‑management techniques.
• Menu development and daily special creation.
