NGIS Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

Amentum is seeking an NGIS Housekeeping Supervisor to lead housekeeping and custodial operations for the Navy Gateway Inns and Suites on Diego Garcia. The role ensures cleanliness, compliance, and operational efficiency while supporting a critical US Navy program.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage housekeeping and custodial staff to meet NGIS standards.
• Coordinate daily cleaning schedules, common‑area maintenance, and inventory restocking.
• Monitor quality and efficiency of cleaning services, ensuring compliance with operational guidelines.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback for continuous improvement.
• Utilize a hotel Property Management System (PMS) to track room reservations, occupancy status, and housekeeping updates.
• Inspect rooms and facilities before guest occupancy to verify cleanliness and maintenance standards.
• Address guest complaints and housekeeping‑related issues promptly and professionally.
• Maintain supply inventory, order supplies as needed, and ensure adequate stock levels.

Required profile

• Minimum two (2) years of experience administering hotel housekeeping and custodial operations.
• At least one (1) year of formal education at the college or university level in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and team‑management abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high service standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating a Hotel Property Management System (PMS) for housekeeping activities.
