Photographer for US Navy Program

About the role

Amentum is seeking a skilled Photographer to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves creating high‑quality visual content that documents military operations, training, ceremonies, equipment, facilities, and special events while adhering to strict security and contractual standards.

Key responsibilities

• Capture professional photographs of personnel, leadership engagements, official ceremonies, training exercises, equipment, and facilities.
• Coordinate with military personnel, project teams, and customers to understand visual requirements and deliver appropriate products.
• Plan and execute assignments, assessing locations, lighting, composition, and timing to meet operational needs.
• Ensure all photography activities comply with security protocols, privacy rules, and installation policies.
• Review, edit, and enhance images using professional photo‑editing software while preserving image integrity.
• Manage digital assets, including file organization, metadata, storage, and archival processes.
• Maintain, inspect, and troubleshoot photography equipment, reporting any deficiencies.
• Prepare and deliver final photo products according to customer specifications and timelines.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in professional photography, preferably in a military or government environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under operational constraints.
• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital cameras and interchangeable lenses.
• Experience using lighting equipment and accessories.
• Advanced skills in photo‑editing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom).
