Space Applications Expert – Earth Observation & Copernicus

About the role

NTU International is seeking a highly qualified Space Applications Expert to support the development, deployment and uptake of Earth Observation services and applications across Africa. The role focuses on solutions based on Copernicus data to address development, climate and environmental priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deliver and promote Earth Observation services and applications using Copernicus data and products.
• Support early‑warning, climate, environmental, agricultural, water and biodiversity initiatives.
• Engage with African institutions and stakeholders to foster user uptake and knowledge exchange.
• Contribute to policy dialogue and partnership building within the Africa‑EU Space Partnership Programme.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in geomatics, remote sensing, environmental science, meteorology, engineering or a related field.
• Excellent command of English; working knowledge of French and/or Portuguese is an asset.
• Minimum 8 years of professional experience in Earth Observation, geospatial services, remote sensing or climate/environmental services.
• At least 4 years of experience designing or delivering EO services with Copernicus data in sectors such as early warning, climate, environment, agriculture, water or biodiversity.
• Experience working with African institutions is a plus.
