Contract Manager – Infrastructure Projects

About the role

The Contract Manager will oversee all contractual aspects of assigned infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with client, contractor, financier and regulatory requirements. This fixed‑term position plays a critical role in protecting the commercial interests of the project while supporting procurement, claims and risk management activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and administer construction and consultancy contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with terms, specifications and regulations.
• Lead preparation, evaluation and negotiation of claims (EOT, variation, cost), and support dispute resolution through adjudication, arbitration or mediation.
• Monitor contract costs, variations and financial exposure; review and certify payment applications, variations and change orders.
• Identify contractual risks, develop mitigation strategies and provide proactive advice on contract‑related issues.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, consultants and legal advisors; participate in project meetings and provide contractual updates.
• Support audit processes and external reviews, maintaining accurate contract documentation and registers.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing construction and consultancy contracts on infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and contractual law.
• Demonstrated ability to lead claim preparation and negotiation.
• Experience monitoring contract costs, variations and financial exposure.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and coordination skills.
