Junior Structural Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Structural Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team, contributing to the design and analysis of bridges, culverts, retaining walls and related infrastructure. You will work under senior engineers, applying industry codes and supporting project delivery from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with structural analysis and design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls and ancillary structures such as barrier rails and expansion joints.
• Prepare design calculations for gravity, live, wind, seismic and thermal loads.
• Develop conceptual, preliminary and detailed design packages, including plans, sections and details.
• Perform quantity take‑offs and support bill of quantities preparation.
• Apply relevant design codes (e.g., AASHTO LRFD, Eurocodes, BS, DPWH) under supervision and follow QA/QC procedures.
• Develop and update structural models using MIDAS Civil or STAAD and produce drawings in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Assist with shop drawing reviews, RFIs, material submittals and method statement checks, and participate in site visits.
• Support condition inspections, load ratings and rehabilitation studies for existing bridges.
• Attend coordination meetings, capture action items and prepare concise design review summaries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Licensed/registered Civil Engineer.
• 5+ years of experience in bridge or structural engineering design.
• Strong technical writing, communication and coordination abilities.
