Planning & Project Controls Engineer

About the role

SMEC, a member of the Surbana Jurong Group, is looking for experienced Planning & Project Controls Engineers to support scheduling and project monitoring activities on a major infrastructure project currently at the Expression of Interest stage. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery of roads, highways, tunnels, and bridges.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using industry‑standard tools.
• Track progress and performance against baseline plans.
• Support reporting, forecasting and variance analysis for senior management.
• Coordinate schedule updates and information flow with project teams and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in planning and project controls for infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with the full project lifecycle and schedule management processes.
