Accountant – US GAAP / UK GAAP Expertise

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and deliver accurate financial reporting in line with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS. The role supports business growth by providing timely financial data, tax compliance, and strategic insights.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue, and invoices, in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss) compliant with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable, and ensure compliance with federal, state, or UK tax regulations.
• Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns, and process payroll in accordance with local laws.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong, demonstrable knowledge of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• CPA (US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA (UK) certification preferred.
• Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Reliable backup power, internet connection, and a functional laptop for remote work.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or SAP.
