Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will support the Director of Finance in delivering accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and corporate policies, and maintaining robust internal controls for the hotel. This role also involves developing the accounting team through training and cross‑training to meet the hotel’s operational and human‑resource needs.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Finance in preparing timely financial management reports for tax authorities, corporate office, and owners.
• Monitor daily accounting routines to ensure efficient, tax‑compliant work practices and proper internal controls.
• Supervise account reconciliations, month‑end closing procedures, and the preparation of financial statements, accruals and journal entries.
• Oversee the filing and maintenance of all tax‑related documents in accordance with local retention regulations and the Hotel Management Agreement.
• Prepare and file local, state and other tax returns and reports on schedule.
• Train and develop accounting staff on local taxation, IFRS, and the Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with at least 6 years of accounting experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience managing an accounting team.
• Strong knowledge of local tax laws, IFRS and hotel industry accounting standards.
• Excellent English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours in a 24‑hour, 7‑day operation.
