Guest Services Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Guest Services Manager to shape the guest experience at a new luxury island resort in the Seychelles. This pre‑opening role will build and lead the front‑office team, ensuring exceptional, personalized service for an international clientele.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all Front Office guest‑facing operations, including guest relations, night shift, boutique, and island guide teams.
• Set and maintain service standards across all guest touchpoints, consistently exceeding expectations.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints with professionalism and ensure full resolution.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering and other departments to guarantee seamless villa readiness and guest arrivals.
• Manage reservations input, occupancy forecasting, and reporting in collaboration with sales and the PMS.
• Oversee Front Office cash handling, accounting functions and departmental budget adherence.
• Arrange helicopter and boat transfers, VIP arrivals and special guest requests.
• Develop, train and inspire the team through briefings, appraisals and performance reviews.
• Contribute to SOP development and continuous improvement throughout the pre‑opening phase and beyond.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing Front Office and Butler teams in a luxury resort environment.
• Proven pre‑opening experience.
• Fluent in English and at least two additional languages (e.g., French, German, Italian, Russian, Arabic).
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or a related field.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Property Management System (PMS) such as Opera, Cloudbeds or Mews.

• USD 3,500 gross per month plus a USD 1,000 quarterly performance bonus.
