International Communications and Behavior Change Specialist

About the role

The International Communications and Behavior Change Specialist will lead the design and delivery of public awareness and behavior change campaigns for a community‑based program focused on solid waste management and small‑scale tourism development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and design of public awareness and behavior change campaigns.
• Develop behavior change and public awareness strategies and frameworks.
• Support the design and delivery of surveys to ensure appropriate community engagement.
• Facilitate community consultations and co‑design stakeholder workshops.
• Participate in the inception meeting, collect, review, and analyse relevant data.
• Provide input into stakeholder engagement plans and field plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years experience designing communications and behavior change campaigns.
• Preferably prior experience working in the Solomon Islands.
