About the role
As a People & Culture Advisor you will partner with local leaders to provide practical HR support, oversee payroll governance and ensure compliance with PNG labour laws. You will act as the first point of contact for employee relations and help drive continuous improvement across HR processes.
Key responsibilities
- Partner with managers on workforce planning, role design and organizational changes.
- Provide first‑line employee‑relations support and escalate complex cases.
- Coach managers on performance management, policy application and people decisions.
- Maintain Workday and EPICOR data, oversee fortnightly payroll processing and ensure accuracy of salaries, allowances and deductions.
- Ensure payroll compliance with PNG tax, NASFUND, NCSL and statutory deductions.
- Administer benefits such as medical insurance, workers’ compensation and leave management.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, contract variations and exits.
- Prepare monthly HR metrics and report trends to the Manager People & Culture.
Required profile
- Proven experience in HR advisory, payroll oversight and employee‑relations handling.
- Strong knowledge of PNG labour legislation and statutory payroll requirements.
- Ability to coach managers and influence people decisions.
- Analytical mindset with experience preparing HR metrics and reports.
