Recreation Attendant

About the role

The Recreation Attendant delivers memorable guest experiences by managing and promoting the resort’s recreational facilities on Desroches Island. You will interact directly with guests, ensuring they enjoy a safe and enjoyable range of activities in a luxury setting.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, answer questions, and provide orientation for all recreation facilities.
• Assist guests with equipment, towels, sport‑specific wear, and water as needed.
• Test and maintain gym equipment daily, including TVs, when assigned to the fitness centre.
• Conduct group or private fitness sessions and tennis lessons upon request.
• Promote and customise excursions, upselling where appropriate.
• Organise and lead weekly recreational activities with a high level of professionalism.
• Inspect and prepare beach equipment such as paddle boards, kayaks, life jackets, and toys.
• Support the pop‑up beach bar, ensuring equipment and guest needs are met.
• Adhere to corporate standards, hygiene protocols, and equipment safety.
• Collaborate with supervisors and managers on equipment maintenance and guest issue resolution.
• Participate in departmental training and undertake additional tasks as assigned.
