Accountant – Supermarket (Full‑Time)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Accountant to join our growing supermarket team in Seychelles. The successful candidate will manage day‑to‑day financial operations, ensure compliance with local regulations, and support strategic decision‑making through accurate reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily accounting records and perform bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, and MIS dashboards.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash‑flow management.
• Monitor inventory valuation, stock reconciliation, and VAT, tax, and statutory filings.
• Process payroll, employee reimbursements, and coordinate with auditors.
• Develop budgets, financial forecasts, and support internal control procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail or supermarket environments.
• Strong analytical abilities and effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as ZOHO, Tally, Sage, QuickBooks or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
