Assistant Chief Steward

About the role

The Assistant Chief Steward supports the Chief Steward in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene and organization across the kitchen, stewarding team and banquet areas at Raffles Seychelles. This position ensures proper handling of chemicals, storage of china, cutlery and equipment, and delivers seamless service to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Follow property safety and emergency procedures, report accidents and correct unsafe conditions.
• Uphold privacy, confidentiality and all company policies.
• Assist colleagues to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service.
• Operate dishwashing machines according to hotel specifications.
• Set up banquet buffets, polish silverware and clean buffet glass tops.
• Assist in washing pots, pans and other kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Complete special cleaning projects and maintain rigorous hygiene and sanitation standards.
