Bartender for US Navy MWR Program

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Bartender to support a unique US Navy MWR program on Diego Garcia. The role involves providing professional beverage service, maintaining a clean bar environment, and delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, mix, and serve alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards.
• Verify patron age, monitor consumption, and enforce responsible alcohol service policies.
• Operate POS systems, handle cash and card transactions, and reconcile daily sales.
• Maintain bar cleanliness, stock levels, and inventory, and support special events and recreational activities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent and minimum legal drinking age (21).
• At least two years of bartending or related hospitality experience.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to obtain required visas.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lb regularly, and work in a fast‑paced, remote environment.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of alcohol service regulations and responsible service practices.
• Experience operating point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and cash registers.
