Creative Writer – Remote (Contract/Full‑time)

About the role

We are seeking a visionary Creative Writer to be the voice of our brand, crafting compelling stories that align with strategic marketing goals. Working remotely, you will collaborate with marketing and design teams across time zones to produce high-conversion copy, scripts, and immersive blog posts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a consistent brand voice across website, email campaigns, social media, and newsletters.
• Create long-form and short-form content such as blogs, articles, whitepapers, and scripts for podcasts, YouTube, TikTok, and Meta ads.
• Write conversion-focused ad copy and landing page text to drive engagement and sales.
• Research emerging cultural trends in Africa and optimize content for SEO to increase organic reach.
• Collaborate with remote design and video teams to align written content with visual assets.

Required profile

• Degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of professional creative writing, copywriting, or content creation experience.
• Strong portfolio showcasing brand storytelling and scriptwriting.
• Deep understanding of African socioeconomic landscape, pop culture, and consumer behavior.
• Exceptional command of English with flawless grammar and proofreading skills.
• Self-driven, highly organized and able to meet strict deadlines independently.
