Depot MEP Expert – Transport Infrastructure Design

About the role

SMEC is seeking a senior Depot MEP Expert to join the design team for a major transport infrastructure project in Indonesia. The role focuses on mechanical, electrical and civil design of a railway depot, supporting the continuation of construction activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) design for the depot facility.
• Coordinate with architecture and civil teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Develop design documents, calculations and specifications in line with rail and metro standards.
• Review and approve contractor submissions and shop drawings.
• Provide technical guidance to multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with international best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in MEP design for rail or metro projects.
• Proven experience on international projects, preferably in Southeast Asia.
• Strong understanding of rail depot requirements and safety standards.
