Deputy Team Leader

About the role

The Deputy Team Leader will support the Project Team Leader in delivering the Nalua Baherchar Bridge project, a 1.5 km steel arch bridge. This senior position ensures high‑quality construction supervision, effective stakeholder liaison, and seamless project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Team Leader with project QA management and reporting.
• Serve as the primary liaison with clients, local communities, and partner organisations.
• Manage a large interdisciplinary staff, focusing on national personnel.
• Oversee surveys, studies, construction milestones, and prepare presentations.
• Conduct periodic inspections to verify compliance with plans, specifications, contracts, and standards.
• Review contractor submittals, verify progress, and recommend certification of bill of quantities.
• Maintain detailed inspection reports, engineering diaries, and correspondence.
• Assist the Roads and Highways Department in preparing the Project Completion Report.

Required profile

• Minimum 20 years of professional experience in the construction sector.
• At least 15 years in planning, design, and supervision of bridge or highway projects under ICB contracts.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Deputy Team Leader on similar bridge projects.
