Head Therapist / Spa Trainer

About the role

The Spa Head Therapist / Trainer leads the therapy team at Raffles Seychelles, delivering premium spa treatments while coaching and developing therapists to uphold the brand’s luxury standards. This position combines hands‑on treatment delivery with training, quality assurance and operational support.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, supervise and coach the therapist team, delivering daily, weekly and monthly training plans.
• Perform spa treatments in line with SOPs, ensuring guest consultations, health assessments and personalized recommendations.
• Conduct treatment audits, competency evaluations and maintain training records to guarantee consistent service quality.
• Support the Spa Director and Manager in achieving revenue targets through retail sales, treatment upgrades and inventory control.
• Oversee spa operations including scheduling, room preparation, stock management and equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Diploma or certification in Spa Therapy, Massage Therapy, Beauty Therapy or Wellness Management.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a spa therapist in a luxury setting and at least 1 year in a supervisory or trainer role.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication and guest‑service orientation.

• Advanced knowledge of massage, body treatments, facials and related wellness therapies.
• Training, coaching and mentoring capabilities.
• Retail sales and guest engagement proficiency.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with spa software.
