Legal Data Analyst

About the role

The Legal Data Analyst will turn complex legal information—such as contracts, case records, and regulatory filings—into actionable insights that support compliance, risk management, and business strategy. Working remotely, you will collaborate with legal, compliance, and technology teams to build data‑driven solutions, including AI‑enabled tools.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze litigation outcomes, regulatory filings, contract terms and other legal datasets to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Translate analytical findings into insights for legal strategy, compliance processes and business decisions.
• Create and maintain high‑quality training data, craft prompts for large language models, and evaluate model outputs for legal relevance.
• Support regulatory compliance by interpreting emerging requirements and embedding them into workflows.
• Design interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau or similar BI tools.
• Lead automation initiatives to streamline legal processes and reduce operational risk.
• Optimize deployment of legal technology tools, including AI‑driven solutions.
• Map external regulatory intelligence data to internal models and ensure data accuracy.
• Assist in implementing data governance practices for legal data assets.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in legal analysis, legal operations, compliance analytics or data analysis within a legal environment.
• Strong ability to convert complex legal concepts into structured data and quantitative analysis.
• Proven project‑management skills with a track record of delivering high‑quality work under tight deadlines.
• Experience in litigation analytics, regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, AML/KYC), contract analytics, intellectual property or privacy law.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL for querying large datasets.
• Python for data analysis and automation.
• BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau for dashboard creation.
• Prompt engineering for large language models (LLMs).
• Data governance practices including classification and retention policies.
