Remote CMS Developer – Build Custom Web Solutions

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned CMS Developer to design, build, and maintain custom content management systems for a variety of clients. Working remotely, you will turn design mock‑ups into responsive, secure web experiences while collaborating with designers, content creators, and other developers.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and scale custom CMS applications (WordPress, Drupal, Craft CMS, Magento).
• Create bespoke themes, modules, and plugins from scratch to extend platform functionality.
• Implement responsive layouts, ensure cross‑browser compatibility, and optimise performance.
• Configure custom post types, custom fields and editorial workflows for non‑technical users.
• Maintain site security, handle backups, updates and user authentication.
• Apply technical SEO best practices and integrate third‑party APIs, CRM systems, and analytics tools.
• Collaborate daily with UI/UX designers, back‑end developers and content stakeholders.
• Document code and technical decisions for future maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of professional software development focused on CMS platforms.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and manage time effectively.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills with attention to design accuracy.

Required skills

• HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox, Grid), JavaScript (ES6+).
• Server‑side programming: PHP, Python or Ruby.
• Extensive experience with WordPress, Drupal, Craft CMS or Magento.
• Custom theme and plugin/module development.
• API integration and database management.
• Technical SEO implementation.
