Rust Engineer - Trading Systems

About the role

Keyrock is looking for a Senior Rust Engineer to join its Capital Markets division. The role focuses on building and operating low‑latency, mission-critical trading systems and is fully remote for candidates in European time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise high‑performance Rust trading applications.
• Own end‑to‑end components of the trading stack, from architecture through production operation.
• Collaborate with quants, traders and other engineers to improve performance and resilience.
• Maintain and evolve infrastructure with emphasis on stability, observability and operational excellence.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues related to exchange connectivity, execution and market‑data handling.
• Drive engineering standards through technical leadership, code reviews and mentoring.
• Implement AI‑assisted workflows, automate operational tasks and evolve tooling.
• Contribute to functional, component and production‑readiness testing for critical components.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing, building and operating mission‑critical trading systems.
• Deep expertise in Rust and strong knowledge of AWS services.
• Passion for the Rust ecosystem and a track record of delivering high‑performance, low‑latency solutions.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, fully‑remote environment.
• Located within European time zones.
