Sustainability Lead

About the role

The Sustainability Lead will drive the resort’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives, embedding sustainable practices into daily operations, guest experiences, and community engagement. Acting as the property’s subject‑matter expert on sustainability, this role collaborates with all departments to meet environmental targets and uphold brand certifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the resort’s sustainability strategy and annual action plans.
• Monitor performance indicators, prepare reports for senior leadership, and ensure alignment with corporate ESG objectives.
• Support achievement and maintenance of sustainability certifications and brand compliance.
• Track and analyze resource consumption (energy, water, fuel, waste) and implement reduction initiatives.
• Conduct sustainability audits, manage environmental records, and support risk assessments.
• Lead biodiversity monitoring, habitat restoration, marine conservation, and ecosystem management programs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to promote environmental stewardship.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sustainability, ESG program development, and environmental management.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret resource data and performance metrics.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and lead conservation projects.
