Firefighter

About the role

The Firefighter provides critical emergency response to protect lives, property, and the environment. This position involves rapid decision‑making in high‑stress situations, performing rescue, fire‑suppression, and hazardous‑materials operations across a variety of incident types.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct search, rescue, and fire‑fighting operations for fires, vehicle accidents, floods, bomb incidents, and hazardous‑material spills.
• Operate emergency response vehicles, pumps, foam generators, boom and ground‑sweep nozzles, and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Use hand and power tools to ventilate structures, position ladders, and manage hose lines of various sizes.
• Perform salvage and overhaul activities to minimize damage after incidents.
• Participate in station drills, training exercises, and emergency‑procedure rehearsals.
• Respond to hazardous‑materials emergencies in accordance with established protocols.

Required profile

• Minimum one (1) year of fire‑fighting experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as IFSAC, DoD, or National Pro‑Board Fire Fighter II, Hazardous Materials Operations, and optionally ARFF.
• Current state driver’s license and ability to obtain required visas and passports.
• Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English for contract compliance.
• Physical capability to perform interior structural firefighting and work in remote, adverse conditions.
