Guest Services Manager

About the role

We are searching for a Guest Services Manager for a luxury private island resort in the Seychelles. This role goes beyond traditional front‑office duties, leading a team of Island Guides who accompany guests throughout their stay and overseeing a signature guest area that includes a restaurant, heritage spaces, and unique island experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, train and develop the Island Guide team, fostering a calm, motivated, guest‑centred culture.
• Maintain a visible, hands‑on presence on the floor, directly engaging with guests.
• Oversee daily operations and guest experience at a key island venue, ensuring high standards in food, service and atmosphere.
• Create and personalize bespoke guest experiences based on guest insight rather than standard procedures.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping to uphold villa and property standards.
• Manage administrative duties including stock control, operational follow‑up and reporting.
• Handle guest concerns with composure, professionalism and a solutions‑first mindset.

Required profile

• Experience in remote luxury island resorts, boutique luxury properties or high‑end lodges.
• Genuine passion for crafting highly personalized guest experiences.
• Proven leadership skills with patience, calm and emotional intelligence.
• Good understanding of Housekeeping standards and operations.
• Strong organisational abilities to manage guest‑facing and administrative tasks.
• Career stability with at least one role of two or more years showing growth.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are a strong advantage.
• Comfortable with remote island living and its unique operational realities.
