Marketing & Communications Advisor (ANZ)

About the role

SMEC, part of the SJ Group, is seeking a dynamic Marketing & Communications Advisor for the ANZ region. You will shape and deliver strategic communications and marketing initiatives that drive client growth, reinforce brand positioning, and support the broader business strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute an ANZ marketing plan aligned with regional growth and client strategies.
• Design and deliver high‑impact internal and external communication programmes.
• Lead strategic campaigns using robust project‑management principles.
• Manage key industry partnerships to maximise visibility and business opportunities.
• Support CSR, ESG and sustainability communication initiatives.
• Create tailored communication processes for both internal and external audiences.
• Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across the business and industry.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong grasp of contemporary marketing and communications principles.
• Proven ability to deliver results in high‑pressure, deadline‑driven environments.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Creative mindset with a flair for innovation and design.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship‑management capabilities.
