PPSO Supervisor

About the role

The PPSO Supervisor will lead personal property support services for a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. This position ensures the timely movement, storage, and handling of personal property and unaccompanied baggage for military personnel, civilian employees, and their dependents.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily PPSO operations, guaranteeing compliance with DoD regulations for shipment, receipt, and storage.
• Lead a team of PPSO Specialists, providing clear tasking, guidance, and quality control.
• Evaluate team performance, deliver coaching, and implement training initiatives.
• Develop and refine operational processes to improve workflow, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor and audit property movement, storage, and shipment for contract compliance.
• Assist customers with complex shipments, addressing delays, discrepancies, or damages.
• Coordinate with logistics providers, transportation services, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
• Prepare and submit regular performance and operational reports to management and government representatives.
• Maintain accurate shipment records using relevant tracking systems.
• Enforce safety and security protocols, including handling classified and sensitive information.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in personal property shipping, logistics, or transportation operations, including supervisory experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced logistics or transportation certifications preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing property preparation, shipping, receiving, and storage processes.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and time‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to resolve complex logistical issues.
