Vehicle Maintenance Analyst – US Navy Program

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Vehicle Maintenance Analyst to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role oversees maintenance and repair operations for a large fleet of military and civilian vehicles, ensuring readiness and compliance with contract, government, and military standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute vehicle maintenance and recovery operations in line with contract requirements, company policies, and military standards.
• Manage administration, maintenance, and distribution of approved publications, warranties, and required documentation such as Lost, Theft, Damaged, and Destroyed (LTDD) and Estimated Cost of Damage (ECOD) reports.
• Maintain accurate odometer readings and update the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for all assets.
• Coordinate with managers, directors, military personnel, suppliers, and vendors to resolve warranty issues and schedule maintenance.
• Ensure vehicles receive maintenance at manufacturer and military levels (-10, -20/-30) and verify proper recording of repairs.
• Implement budgeting, analysis, and reporting for the maintenance operation, track burn rates, and manage stock levels to maximize cost avoidance.
• Enforce health, safety, and welfare standards, ensuring consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and zero‑injury environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned consistent with the position’s level.

Required profile

• Advanced knowledge of maintenance and supply principles, production, and US military maintenance support systems for material handling, heavy trucks, and equipment.
• Familiarity with GCSS‑Army maintenance production, production control, and support systems.
• Ability to manage documentation, warranty processes, and reporting requirements.
• Strong commitment to occupational safety and health standards.
