Firefighter

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Firefighter to protect lives and property by responding to fires, vehicle accidents, natural disasters, and hazardous material incidents. The role involves rapid decision‑making, physical endurance, and teamwork in high‑stress environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform search, rescue, and firefighting operations for fires, accidents, floods, bomb incidents, and dangerous substance spills.
• Safely operate emergency response vehicles, hand and power tools, ladders, hoses, pumps, foam generators, and various nozzles.
• Connect hoses to hydrants and pump apparatus, and manage water‑charged hose lines of different sizes.
• Conduct salvage and overhaul operations to minimize damage.
• Participate in station drills, emergency‑procedure training, and hazardous‑materials response.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of firefighting experience and a High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s Degree preferred).
• Relevant certifications such as IFSAC, DOD, National Pro‑Board Fire Fighter II, Hazardous Materials Operations, and driver’s license.
• Ability to make quick decisions under stressful, hazardous conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work long hours, in adverse weather, and on short notice.

Required skills

• Operation of fire pumps and foam generators.
• Use of hand and power tools for ventilation, ladder work, and hose handling.
• Operation of water‑charged hose lines and various nozzle types.
• Emergency vehicle operation and driver‑operator certifications.
• Hazardous materials response procedures.
