NGIS Reservation Agent

About the role

The NGIS Reservation Agent will manage guest reservations for the Navy Gateway Inns & Suites on Diego Garcia, ensuring compliance with Navy lodging standards and delivering exceptional customer service. This position supports a critical U.S. Navy program and works closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and management teams.

Key responsibilities

• Process check‑ins, check‑outs, cancellations, modifications and special requests using approved lodging management systems.
• Maintain accurate reservation records, occupancy reports and daily logs in line with NGIS procedures.
• Verify eligibility of military, government and authorized civilian guests.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance and management to ensure room readiness.
• Handle payments, receipts and financial transactions according to established guidelines.
• Provide guests with information on room availability, policies, amenities and general inquiries.
• Support front‑desk operations, including phone coverage and administrative tasks.
• Communicate guest issues and operational updates to supervisors and Navy leadership.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in reservations, hospitality or lodging operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid passport with at least one year remaining beyond hire date.
• Ability to meet contract medical requirements and obtain facility credentials.
• Willingness to travel internationally and obtain required visas.
