Transport and Mobility Expert – Global Gateway Project

About the role

NTU International A/S is building a talent pool of transport experts to support the Global Gateway Transport and Urban Facility 2 project. The pool will provide short‑term technical assistance worldwide, focusing on Sub‑Saharan Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Asia‑Pacific.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, prepare, appraise and implement transport and connectivity projects.
• Conduct prefeasibility, feasibility, technical, economic and financial studies.
• Support transport infrastructure planning, design, rehabilitation, modernisation and investment planning.
• Assist public authorities in policy, strategy, regulatory framework and sector reform development.
• Prepare investment pipelines aligned with Global Gateway and European Green Deal priorities.
• Advise on sustainable, low‑carbon, smart, safe, resilient and inclusive transport solutions.
• Promote multimodal transport, logistics connectivity and integration of transport modes.
• Assess investment climates, identify PPP opportunities and support procurement, tendering and contract management.
• Facilitate coordination among public authorities, EU delegations, IFIs, operators and private stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in transport, infrastructure, mobility, logistics or related sectors.
• Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the listed transport disciplines (e.g., road and highway infrastructure, rail, maritime, aviation, urban mobility).
• Experience working with public authorities, development partners or international financial institutions.
