Compliance Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to lead and enhance our compliance framework. The role involves ensuring the organization meets all regulatory obligations, internal policies and industry best practices while fostering a culture of compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct client due diligence, KYC and related compliance assessments.
• Maintain alignment of processes and operations with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Perform periodic reviews of client records and documentation.
• Oversee transaction monitoring and investigate exceptions.
• Review, analyse and act on AML alerts and periodic compliance reports.
• Monitor adherence to internal policies, procedures and governance standards.
• Provide guidance and training to employees on regulatory developments.
• Liaise between management and business functions on compliance matters.
• Conduct compliance assessments and audits to mitigate regulatory risks.
• Prepare compliance reports for senior management and represent the organisation during regulatory reviews.
• Supervise compliance team members, set performance objectives and KPIs, and deliver coaching and feedback.
• Support implementation of compliance initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in compliance, regulatory affairs, AML or risk management.
• Strong understanding of AML/CFT principles, KYC requirements and regulatory standards.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams.
• Ability to work under pressure, maintain confidentiality and meet tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of AML/CFT and KYC processes.
• Familiarity with financial services, brokerage operations, capital markets, FX, equities and commodities (advantageous).
