Financial Analyst – Insurance, Gambling & Pension Supervision

About the role

The Financial Analyst will support the Insurance, Gambling and Pension Supervision Section by overseeing financial risk and regulatory compliance of licensed entities. You will develop quantitative reporting tools, assess solvency, and contribute to the design of supervision frameworks in line with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement quantitative reporting tools for licensees following internationally accepted standards.
• Develop guidelines for financial risk safeguarding and draft supervision frameworks.
• Conduct off‑site financial risk monitoring, review audited financial statements and actuarial reports, and assess solvency.
• Analyse financial and monthly regulatory reports for gambling licensees and calculate early‑warning test ratios.
• Prepare financial analyses, projections, and feasibility studies for investment proposals.
• Maintain and verify databases for local and international bodies (e.g., FSC, IAIS).
• Lead surveys and research on financial matters, identify trends, and produce recommendation reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Risk Management, Economics, Actuarial Science, Statistics or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as CII (Insurance/Pension/Financial Planning) and ACCA, or equivalent experience.
• At least two years of relevant experience preparing financial reports, performing financial institution accounting, or similar roles.
• Strong analytical abilities and familiarity with international financial supervision standards.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer applications for financial analysis and reporting.
