Marina Manager

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Marina Manager to oversee marina facilities supporting a U.S. Navy MWR program on Diego Garcia. The role combines operational leadership, customer service, and safety compliance for recreational boating and equipment rentals.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily marina operations, including docking, vessel storage, equipment rentals, and facility upkeep.
• Develop and deliver boating safety and recreational programs, providing instruction for sail and power vessels.
• Ensure compliance with MWR policies, maritime regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols.
• Oversee maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs of docks, equipment, and small craft.
• Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate marina staff, fostering teamwork and high‑quality service.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain a positive patron experience.
• Create and maintain emergency response procedures and conduct regular safety briefings.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Recreation Management, Marina Operations, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience managing or supervising marina operations, preferably within U.S. Navy MWR programs.
• Current or obtainable certifications as an Instructor/Trainer in Small Craft Handling, Basic Sailing Instructor, and CPR.
