Statistician – Data Analysis & Reporting

About the role

The Statistician will support the Financial Services Authority by turning raw data into actionable insights that guide policy and regulatory decisions. This position involves collecting, processing, and interpreting data from internal departments and external licensees.

Key responsibilities

• Collect internal data from various departments and external licensees.
• Design, maintain, and update statistical databases and forecasting models.
• Develop statistical reports, dashboards, and bulletins for the Authority’s Board and executive team.
• Support the creation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and risk indicators for strategic planning and enterprise risk management.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency through robust governance practices.
• Interpret analytical results to identify trends and inform corporate decision‑making.
• Coordinate data requests from other regulatory bodies and international organisations.
• Assist in survey design and the development of data‑collection methodologies.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analysis, Economics, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant professional experience.
