Virtual Asset Services Supervision Analyst

About the role

The Virtual Asset Services Supervision (VASS) Analyst will support the Section Manager in overseeing the registration, licensing and regulatory compliance of entities providing virtual asset services. This role combines desk‑based assessment with field inspections to ensure adherence to Seychelles' financial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Process and evaluate applications for registration, licensing, "fit and proper" status and other authorisations.
• Collaborate with other sections to assess applications against guidelines and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct on‑site and off‑site inspections of licence holders to monitor compliance.
• Compile data, analyse findings and provide recommendations for regulatory enforcement actions.
• Represent the Section in meetings with customers, stakeholders and external partners.
• Participate in technical missions, conferences and training programmes locally and abroad.
• Stay updated on industry legislation, guidelines and policies to ensure compliant processing.
• Contribute to policy formulation, strategic planning and market research to enhance regulatory standing.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Law, Information Technology, Cyber Security, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACAMS or ICA Compliance is preferred.
