Assistant Shift Supervisor – Production

About the role

Enviva is seeking an Assistant Shift Supervisor to support daily operations at its pellet mill facility. You will work closely with the shift supervisor and team leader to ensure production targets are met while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the shift supervisor in overseeing day‑to‑day operations across all work areas.
• Fill in for absent personnel when staffing gaps arise.
• Train new hires as needed and act as backup team leader for Pellet Mill/Hammermill operations.
• Monitor daily shift testing, verify specifications, and communicate any deviations.
• Own and enforce the 5S housekeeping procedure, performing daily/weekly clean‑up and supporting monthly safety audits.
• Escalate operational issues promptly for resolution.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to develop and maintain accurate records.
• Strong understanding of written and verbal job instructions.
• Proficiency in basic mathematics and measurements.
