Supervisor/Technician Refrigeration

About the role

The Supervisor/Technician Refrigeration is a full‑time, on‑site position on Coetivy Island, responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing refrigeration and cooling systems that support island operations.

Key responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance and repair cold rooms, blast freezers and air‑conditioning units.
• Diagnose system faults, monitor performance and ensure optimal operation of all cooling equipment.
• Organise and prioritise work orders, coordinate with other technical teams and enforce safety, environmental and operational standards.
• Monitor spare‑part inventory, prepare basic service reports and recommend system improvements or upgrades.
• Occasionally travel to other outer islands to support refrigeration projects and emergency repairs.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in refrigeration system installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair.
• Solid understanding of electrical and mechanical components such as wiring, controls, compressors and safety devices.
• Experience supervising or coordinating technical staff and organising work schedules.
• Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations related to refrigerant handling.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and schematics.
• Relevant certification or diploma in Refrigeration, HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical or a closely related field.
