Engineering Lead – Options

About the role

Keyrock is seeking a Head of Engineering / Engineering Lead to head its Options Engineering team. You will guide the development and evolution of a Rust‑native systematic options trading platform, ensuring high performance, reliability, and robust risk controls. The role is remote‑first, supporting teams across European and US East Coast time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of around seven engineers focused on options trading infrastructure.
• Own and enhance the existing systematic options trading platform, covering automated quoting, execution, pricing workflows, and risk management.
• Provide technical direction on system design, performance optimisation, reliability, and risk controls.
• Collaborate closely with trading, quant, product, risk, and infrastructure stakeholders.
• Balance technical leadership with people management, delivery ownership, and operational discipline.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in systematic trading, options market‑making, or low‑latency trading systems.
• Hands‑on experience with Rust, C++, or similar low‑level languages.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and deliver complex trading systems.
• Willingness to work in European or US East Coast time zones.
