Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will support the Director of Finance in preparing accurate financial reports, maintaining internal controls, and ensuring compliance with local tax regulations for the hotel. This role requires a flexible schedule to meet the 24/7 operational demands of a luxury hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Finance in compiling timely financial management reports for tax authorities, corporate office, and owners.
• Ensure internal controls are effective and that accounting staff follow company policies and local tax rules.
• Supervise daily accounting activities, including account reconciliations, month‑end closing, and audit of night‑audit transactions.
• Prepare and file all local, state and other tax returns and maintain related documentation in accordance with retention regulations.
• Develop and deliver training programs on taxation and accounting procedures for hotel and departmental staff.
• Prepare financial statements, accruals, journal entries and balance‑sheet reconciliations in line with IFRS and industry accounting standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum six years of accounting experience, with at least two years in a supervisory role.
• Strong analytical abilities and high professional integrity and confidentiality.
• Ability to work under pressure in an ever‑changing environment and to manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software applications.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Competence in Microsoft Word.
