Financial Accountant

About the role

Raffles Seychelles is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its Finance team. The role is responsible for accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and supporting the hotel’s financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing processes and prepare related journal entries.
• Compile and present financial reports for management review.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor daily bank statements for anomalies.
• Handle monthly VAT submissions and ensure timely corporate and property tax filings and payments.
• Respond to corporate finance queries and supervise finance sections to guarantee compliance with policies.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliation schedules and provide accurate financial information to senior management.
• Post GL journal entries for pre‑payments, provisions, allocations and memo accounts.
• Manage staff roster, assignments and discipline within the Finance Office.
• Lead and motivate the finance team in line with Raffles core values.
• Liaise with banks, external auditors, legal and government bodies to maintain strong relationships.
• Undertake any additional duties assigned by management.
