Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will support the Director of Finance in delivering accurate financial reports, ensuring internal controls, and maintaining tax compliance for a luxury hotel operation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Finance in preparing timely and accurate financial reports required by tax regulations, corporate office and owners.
• Ensure internal controls are in place and monitor daily accounting routines for efficiency and tax compliance.
• Supervise account reconciliations, month‑end closing procedures and verify tax accuracy of night‑audit transactions.
• Prepare financial statements, accruals, journal entries and maintain balance‑sheet reconciliations in accordance with IFRS and hotel accounting standards.
• Oversee tax filings, returns and documentation, ensuring compliance with local regulations and retention policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with at least 6 years of accounting experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience and strong analytical abilities.
• Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to work flexible hours in a 24/7 hotel environment.

Required skills

• Accounting software applications.
• Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry.
• Strong tax regulation knowledge for the local jurisdiction.
