Financial Accountant – Hotel Finance

About the role

Raffles Seychelles, part of the prestigious Raffles Hotels & Resorts, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, manage month‑end and year‑end closing activities, and support the hotel’s financial compliance and reporting needs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare month‑end and year‑end closing journals in line with policies and procedures.
• Compile and present financial reports for management review.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor daily bank statements for anomalies.
• Handle monthly VAT submissions and corporate, property, and tax compilations and payments.
• Supervise finance sections, ensuring timely report submission and policy compliance.
• Maintain balance‑sheet account reconciliation schedules and provide accurate financial information to management.
• Liaise with banks, external auditors, legal and government institutions to build and maintain relationships.

Required profile

• Pleasant personality with neat appearance and strong initiative.
• Team player, customer‑oriented, and proactive with minimal supervision.
• Fluent oral and written English.
• Flexible and adaptable to different working locations.
• Diploma or degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 7 years relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a similar hotel finance role.
