Gym Instructor & Activities Coordinator

About the role

Constance Ephelia is seeking an enthusiastic Gym Instructor and Activities Coordinator to join its Fitness and Recreation team. Based on the stunning island of Mahé, you will deliver high‑quality fitness classes and design engaging wellness programmes that enhance guests’ resort experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead group fitness sessions such as aerobics, circuit training and other classes for guests of all fitness levels.
• Provide personalised training, conduct fitness assessments and create tailored workout plans.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate all gym and recreational activities, ensuring optimal use of facilities and equipment.
• Perform routine equipment checks, report maintenance needs and uphold health‑and‑safety standards.
• Engage guests professionally, promote wellness initiatives and encourage participation.
• Maintain accurate records of guest attendance, progress and activity bookings.
• Collaborate with other resort departments to integrate wellness offerings into the overall guest experience.
• Support new team members and guests with gym inductions and guidance.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a fitness instructor or gym professional, capable of delivering both group and individual sessions.
• Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, fitness techniques and health‑and‑safety protocols.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate guests from diverse backgrounds.
• Organisational aptitude to manage multiple activities and schedules efficiently.
