Quality Manager – KP

About the role

Amentum seeks an experienced Quality Manager – KP to lead the implementation and enforcement of its Quality Management System (QMS) for a critical U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role demands strong leadership, direct reporting to senior corporate officials, and on‑site presence during government working hours.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and enforce the Contractor’s QMS across all project facets, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, policies, and industry best practices.
• Conduct and oversee quality audits, inspections, and evaluations, addressing non‑conformances and implementing corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed reports on quality activities and findings for senior leadership.
• Lead and mentor the quality team, guiding inspection protocols and QMS compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical) or related field from an accredited institution.
• Current Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) certification or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of experience managing QMS programs on contracts of similar size and complexity.
• Ability to obtain required visas, pass medical and security clearances, and hold a passport valid for at least one year.

Required skills

• Expertise in Quality Management Systems (QMS) implementation and enforcement.
• Strong knowledge of ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and best practices for quality assurance.
• Experience conducting quality audits and corrective action planning.
• Proficiency with CMQ/OE certification processes.
