Reservations Agent

About the role

The Reservations Agent will handle all guest enquiries and bookings for the luxury Raffles Seychelles property, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience. This role requires accurate use of the OPERA reservation system and coordination with multiple hotel departments.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest enquiries via phone, email and fax, providing appropriate villa rates and availability.
• Enter and manage booking information accurately in the OPERA Cloud PMS.
• Process reservation amendments, extensions, early departures and special requests.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth guest arrivals and departures.
• Monitor and reconcile OTA extranet data with OPERA, ensuring rate parity and data accuracy.
• Support upselling initiatives and overbooking strategies in line with revenue management policies.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multicultural team.
• Strong focus on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
• Good judgment when handling difficult guest situations.
• Minimum high school certificate; tourism or hotel management diploma is a plus.
• 1–2 years experience in guest services, tele‑marketing or reservations, preferably in a luxury or resort environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with OPERA Cloud PMS.
• Experience using OTA extranets.
• Understanding of revenue management practices and rate parity.
