Dental Hygienist

About the role

Amentum is looking for a qualified Dental Hygienist to join a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. You will deliver preventive dental care, maintain accurate health records, and ensure compliance with government and OSHA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform dental hygiene procedures such as cleaning, scaling, and polishing.
• Conduct oral health assessments and screen for cavities, gingivitis, and periodontitis.
• Take and develop dental x‑rays following safety and quality protocols.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices.
• Collaborate with dentists to provide comprehensive care and follow‑up recommendations.
• Create and maintain detailed medical/dental records for all personnel, ensuring they meet government inspection requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe clinic environment in line with OSHA and infection‑control guidelines.
• Manage and sterilize dental equipment and instruments.

Required profile

• Graduated from an accredited Dental Hygienist program.
• Licensed Dental Hygienist in the United States.
• 1–3 years of experience performing routine cleanings and patient education.
• Certification in dental radiology.
• Knowledge of infection‑control and sterilization protocols.
